the plastic that takes my paper

I walked in and am overwhelmed,

stacks and stacks upon the shelves,

Legos everywhere!

Blue reactangles, red squares,

even yellow ones shaped like pears,

flat green to represent grass,

limited edition pink ones to add a little sass!

Then I look on and see the sets,

everything I need to make them the best

Minecraft, Star Wars,

even Ninja Turtles!

If I want something more simple,

there are birds,

cars, robots, monkeys,

or even dogs, almost absurd!

I leave the store arms filled,

hands prepaired to build.

My wallet may be bare,

but I cannot get myself to care!

bruce almighty said something neat

“You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on what you love.”

I think that’s a true statement. I would rather fail at a hard job that I find extremely interesting than at a safe mediocre job that a simpleton could do perfectly in their sleep. You can’t fully enjoy your life if your working a nine to five doing something that you couldn’t possibly care less about. If you can fail at absolutely anything, why not go for the gold?

“Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you.”

I think that everyone’s lives are predestined. I think that someone somewhere created a plan for everyone and that whatever they chose is set in stone. I believe that we can hope and wish for certain things to happen all we want, but if they weren’t a part of that someone’s plan for us, then they won’t happen. If you were meant to fail at something, it will happen regardless of whether or not you want to. So in a sense, I agree that life does happen for you.
